Facilitation

There are times when using a Facilitator from outside of your organisation is beneficial, for both you and your team. Advantages can be:

  • An objective, impartial perspective of the issues in hand

  • You can participate as a team member rather than take charge.

  • We ensure all views are heard and taken into account

  • Progress is made, realistic action plans developed.

We can facilitate meetings, workshops or Awaydays.

Coaching

Never underestimate the value of coaching. A one to one session with a skilled coach will focus on the specific needs of the individual, allowing areas to be explored in depth and confidentially, in a supportive environment. In short, it can reach the places that a training session cant.

In our experience, there are several reasons where our clients choose coaching. For example:

  •     The individual has obvious potential, but either they or their employer is not sure of the best way to use their skills and develop their talents. Coaching can help the individual clarify what they want to achieve, recognise what success means to them and identify what they can contribute to the organisation.

  •     The individual is of value to the employer, yet they have a challenge in the workplace. They may have a difficult relationship with other team members or colleagues, or there is an aspect of their behaviour that causes others to respond negatively. Coaching will give that person the opportunity to explore their responses, consider alternative approaches and work on those that will get the results they are looking for.

Mentoring

Mentoring is broader in scope than coaching. It enables the mentee to explore new ground such as career development, behavioural style, leadership potential or increased self awareness.

Many companies are putting mentoring programmes into place. We have experience training people from all kinds of businesses in the skills they need to be effective mentors.

Psychometric Assessment

Psychometric assessments can give you reliable, objective information about a person, which can be invaluable for recruitment or development purposes. The choice of tests  can be bewildering, but we will help you choose which assessment will best meet your needs.

We will meet you face to face to discuss the results and leave you with a full report. We can provide a range of assessments, including both personality and ability tests.

OPQ

The widely used OPQ questionnaire is designed to give in depth information on individual styles or preferences at work. It will describe how candidates will fit within a work environment, how they will work with others and their performance potential. It has been designed for use in a wide range of situations including selection, promotion, career counselling, individual development, team building or development and identifying training needs.

It describes 32 dimensions or scales of peoples preferred or typical style or behaviour at work. The OPQ model breaks personality down into three domains:

  • Relationships with people

  • Thinking style

  • Feelings and emotions

16PF

16PF5  is a powerful personality profiling tool which assesses an individual's personality against 16 key scales which reflect behaviour. These 16 scales can be combined to give five Global Factors: extraversion, anxiety, tough-mindedness, independence, and self-control. This tool is ideal for measuring personality for all areas of development.  The information gained provides important insights into areas such as:

Aspects of the working environment to which the candidate is more or less suited

  Typical styles of leadership

Characteristic ways of dealing with pressure

  Approach to situations and tasks

  Usual team role

The Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)

The Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is the most widely used instrument for understanding personality differences - differences that can be the source of much misunderstanding and miscommunication between people. (Over 2 million questionnaires are completed each year worldwide).  Based on over fifty years of research, it is extremely effective in enabling individuals to identify their strengths and provides, in a practical way, a better understanding of self, motivations and potential areas for growth.  Equally it will also enable people to understand and appreciate those who differ from them. MBTI is also very effective as a teambuilding tool.
